TheRole: Associate Director of Finance, Global Real Estate Corporate Accounting

The Team: The Business Unit Corporate Controller's team is responsible for financial accounting across S&P Global related to Record to Report, Global Real Estate and centralized accounting support across the income statement. The team values collaboration and the ability to think critically while problem solving. The role reports to the Director, Global Real Estate Corporate Accounting.
The Impact: This is a critical role within the real estate finance team requiring strong accounting and finance skills to prepare and consolidate the monthly close and estimates in additional the annual budget dealing both with the Corporate Controllers and FP&A teams. We are looking for a candidate who will support the development of a team focused on accounting for global real estate operating expenses across S&P Global. This role will be responsible for the month-end close, financial forecasting and the annual budgeting process, including the proper application of generally accepted accounting principles to real estate costs.

Responsibilities:
Lead a team of accounting professionals based offshore who support centralized accounting workflows utilizing Oracle GL
Analysis, reporting, consolidation, and management of the close, estimate, and budget for all S&P Global consolidation locations
Manage team planning calendars
Manage the Business Unit Allocations - WISP/Oracle allocation process for the close, estimate each month along with the annual budget
Lead contact for Internal Controls and Corporate Audits
Manage relationships between global real estate finance and the business unit FP&A teams
Ad hoc financial analysis for the Global Real Estate Operations Team
Manage Anaplan functionality and maintenance as it relates to Global Real Estate expenses
Manage Costar, S&P Global's real estate information database
What we're looking for? Basic Qualifications:
5-6 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Data Analytics, Finance, Economics or a related field
Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate at various levels across the company
Ability to work independently and as a fully contributing member of a team
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills (i.e. proactive problem solver), and an inquisitive mind
Willingness to learn CoStar
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience building financial models in Alteryx, Excel and data visualizations in tools like Tableau
Experience with Oracle and Anaplan
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
