In this position you will work in a down-to-earth company culture that offers great development opportunities in a fast-growing market with a lot of responsibility right from the start. You will lead the company's German growth strategy from a financial perspective. This includes a responsibility of all German finance matters and involvement in the complete deal cycle of the group's active buy-and-build strategy. Additionally, the role will focus on business development and active involvement in strategic matters. As the PE firm actively supports the client, you will work closely with the relevant deal team members of the PE firm to drive this important value creation lever. What the job involves
Act as a strong sparring partner to the CFO in all German finance matters, including management of German accounting, compliance, controlling, treasury and tax processes as well as playing an integral part in business development
Planning, organization, and execution of growth strategies, including M&A transactions and the subsequent post-merger integration
Cross-functional coordination of all project participants including target companies, internal departments as well as external consultants (M&A consultants, auditors, lawyers)
Preparation and management of contract negotiation
Preparation of investment cases including company valuation and presentation of decision papers to internal committees (e.g., management, the advisory board and the investor)
Who we are looking for
Strong educational record (bachelor's or master's degree) in the field of Finance, Business or Economics
Previous M&A experience from a Big 4 (M&A and / or Transaction Services), M&A Boutique or Corporate M&A department
Extensive practical experience in the execution of M&A transactions (due diligence, valuation, project management, SPA negotiation)
Profound knowledge in financial planning & analysis, business valuation, modelling of business cases and complex financial models
Strong analytical thinking skills as well as strong communication and organizational skills
