Who we are looking for State Street's Enhanced Custody (EC) is an alternative to prime brokerage and is a platform that allows clients to borrow securities and finance from a segregated custody account. This structure can reduce counterparty risk, offers additional transparency, and provides more control over assets. The result is a more efficient and cost-effective way to manage alternative investment strategies. EC has been in business for over ten years, has a global client base, continues to experience exponential growth, and is currently one of the fastest growing products within State Street. We are looking for a Securities Finance Trader to help us manage the existing book of business and grow our share in a competitive market landscape.

What you will be responsible for As a Securities Finance Trader, Global Markets, Assistant Vice President you will:
Borrow and lend securities to cover and manage our clients' short positions
Interact with clients and provide security-specific and general color on the securities lending market
Provide locates for new short positions and manage these positions throughout the lifecycle of the trade
Interact with interbank market for repo financing business.
Work closely with partner teams in client management, business development, and product development to deliver an exceptional product experience for our clients
Familiarize yourself with the functions of the trading team, then later add value by improving processes to optimize efficiency for the group

Superior problem solving, analytical and technical skills
Experience working in fast-paced, front office financial markets environment (Prime Brokerage experience a plus); deeply engaged and comfortable with the markets and trading
Outstanding communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with business leaders and technical teams alike
Extremely flexible with a "do anything mentality"; creative and willing to challenge current paradigms
Proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 2-5 years of experience
