Summary of Duties:
Provide a broad range of senior administrative leadership, management oversight and coordination for all aspects of business and financial operations within the Washington State University Athletics Department. Serve as the financial, accounting and budget officer responsible for the direction, planning, projections, and oversight of financial functions of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in sports administration, administrative, business, liberal arts, social sciences, or related discipline plus five (5) years of demonstrated experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified for the particular unit, including two (2) years of supervisory responsibility. Any combination of relevant experience and education may be substituted for the required education. Extensive knowledge of rules and regulations established by governing associations.
The 5 years noted above must include experience working in intercollegiate athletics in progressively responsible leadership positions or working in accounting, budget development, business operations, and/or financial planning, or equivalent education/experience.
Strong organizational and oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated management and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in related field or other financial, professional licenses or certifications.
Experience working in Intercollegiate Athletics.
Strong knowledge of Intercollegiate athletics or public sector business operations, and sport management.
Evidence of ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, co-workers, and constituents.
Strong computer background with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. ,.
Experience working with financial accounting systems such as Workday.
Demonstrated knowledge or experience with State of WA and/or WSU Financial Policies and Procedures.
Experience working with NCAA Rules or Regulations as it pertains to revenue and financial reporting.
Experience working with PAC-12 Rules or Regulations as it pertains to revenue and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge or experience with fundraised or gifted financial guidelines and reporting.
Demonstrated experience managing and supervising individuals and other units within an organization.
Evidence of ability to prepare and present financial reports, projections, and other information.
Experience conducting audits for large organization.

Monthly Salary:
$10,416.00 - $12,916.00
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
