In support of the mission, strategic plans and values of the Office of the University Executive Director of Strategic Sourcing and Chief Procurement Officer, the office seeks a Contract Analyst in the Department of Procurement. Reporting to the Senior Deputy Director of Procurement, the Contract Analyst is responsible for the procurement operations within CUNY???s Central Office and Colleges Shared Services.
Based upon the CUNY Title Overview mentioned below, duties include, but are not limited to the following:
??? Conduct all assigned aspects of the procurement process;
??? Assist in preparing specifications for bidding and develop lists of bidders for the use with Request for Quotes (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Invitation for Bids (IFB);
??? Place advertisements in the City Record and the New York State Contract Reporter; includes forwarding bid documents to prospective bidders and assist in evaluating the bid responses, as well as respond to any inquiries pertaining to the advertisements;
??? Prepare award and renewal letters, and related documents for contracts;
??? Encumber contracts and purchase orders;
??? Prepare procurement records for the procurement file;
??? Review and edit CUNYfirst reports; prepare spreadsheets and/or status reports to record progress of all contracts;
??? Responsible for the procurement department???s excel spreadsheets with requisition tracking on a daily basis;
??? Conduct spend analysis by categories, vendors and colleges; participate in developing plans and initiatives for spend optimization;
??? Triage requisitions to staff on a daily basis;
??? Assist Senior Deputy Director with various projects as needed.
Note: Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work on-site in the office.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities:
??? Bachelor???s degree in Business Administration or Accounting discipline preferred;
??? Knowledge of purchasing procedures, New York State Government Contracts and reporting principles preferred;
??? Detail oriented written, evaluation, analysis and research skills;
??? Strong writing, verbal, interpersonal communication and presentation skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders of various organizational levels;
??? Work productively as an individual contributor and collaboratively as a team member in a time-sensitive and customer service oriented office;Strong organizational skills with ability to establish plans, manage a large and varied workload of assignments with conflicting priorities, follow up and complete work by set deadlines;
??? Proficiency using computers and standard office, financial and relational database applications and systems, especially MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, PeopleSoft, and financial systems.
