The Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Company's finance strategies for the Greystar US Investment Management platform. The primary focus will be to support the execution of individual and portfolio level financings for the acquisition of institutional multifamily real estate projects across the United States. Additional responsibilities include assisting key business leaders in managing equity partners, lenders, investors and oversight of investment fund management etc.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist in the financing needs of a specified fund and/or asset. (Value add, Open ended or separate account vehicles) Support the management of a debt portfolio for ~10bn of outstanding exposure. Work closely with team members to manage the loan and venture closing process from start to finish while interacting with outside counsel, brokers, internal portfolio management, asset management, and regional deal teams. Through various analysis assess financial viability of new projects and underwritten leverage. Develop and maintain productive relationships with mortgage bankers, outside counsel, lenders, and other key stakeholder relationships across the US. Assists with asset and venture level interest rate hedging strategy to maintain appropriate derivative instruments that comply with fund and lender requirements. Coordinate, compile and analyze financing packages summarizing the highlights, requirements, market information, and other financial data for corporate and investment decisions. Closely work with members of the investment management team to deploy capital and obtain the appropriate leverage. Run and/or review proformas generated in pursuit of new acquisition opportunities. Provides support and assistance to key business leaders by completing various financial, accounting, and other reports/duties as assigned or as necessary. Assist with the buildout and data integrity of the CRM debt platform.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 1-2 years of relevant CRE experience in the financing of institutional grade apartment properties is preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Ability to understand, interpret and analyze financial data
- Strong planning, time management and organizational skills
- Experience with excel and other applicable office programs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to think strategically and manage multiple initiatives
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information

The base compensation rate will vary based on education, experience, skills, and geographic location, as applicable.
