As a member of the Athletics Department’s senior management team, the Associate Athletics Director for Finance and Business Operations assists the Director of Athletics with the overall development and implementation of Athletics’ central business operations. The incumbent assists with operating budget, long-range capital and operations strategic planning, and human resources. - Provides strategic direction, decision-making and formulate policy while maintaining confidentiality on specific department matters. - Develops and implements sound fiscal control procedures and is responsible for the leadership and oversight of financial units and business service functions. - Administers all Athletics Department human resources activities within the scope of approved university and unit-specific policies and compliance obligations - As a leader, demonstrates a commitment to student success that is mission aligned with the university’s vision, values and priorities. Establishes an ethical and collegial work environment, promoting a collaborative, accountable and inclusive team. - - -Encourages a courageous and resilient solution-oriented environment by participating in new opportunities to further the mission of the university. Participates in developing initiatives that further support the campus mission with a service-oriented and catalytic mind set. Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in accounting business or other job-related field.
Equivalent to five years of progressively responsible professional/administrative experience; with two of the five years in accounting or budgeting or financial management.
Experience working in a university athletics or athletics conference office and experience with EADA and NCAA Financial reports and associated audits, preferred. Experience supervising staff is a plus.
