Our Financial Advisor will advise senior management on financial and operational issues impacting the strategic financial plans of the organization. Investigate and advises senior management on institutional financial variance reports.
The Financial Advisor will assist with the annual operating budget, strategic plan, and capital budget.
The Financial Advisor reviews GL accounts and corrects journal entries and will analyze financial results.
In addition, the Financial Advisor utilizes multiple system computer based programs for use in financial and operational reporting and assists with the month end journal preparation process for efficient and accurate closes.
The essential functions of the Financial Advisor role include the following:
Works closely with system operational leaders to faciliate processes on requesting capital equipment and training on workflow.
Coordinates opportunities to enhance revenue and/or reduce cost providing management with data to support findings.
Assists with annual operating budget, annual strategic plan, and capital budgeting.
Manages proforma modeling for new initiatives.
Advises senior management on issues related to the financial operations of various departments.
Analyzes financial information to ensure financial reports have a high degree of integrity.
Writes and disseminates Lawson & Kaufman Hall financial reports.
Creates basic/advanced adhoc reports as requested.
Enhances the financial reporting environment through efficient operating procedures.
The ideal candidate for the Financial Advisor role is knowledgeable of financial and operational reporting and has very strong leadership, management, analytical and communication skills to also include but not limited to:
Application administration & support - Kaufman Hall Capital Planning & Tracking software
Application training to end users
Supporting Capital planning, budgeting, and tracking processes and policies (to include training/guidance to end users)
Collecting data and reporting on capital needs during planning/budgeting process
Tracking Capital spend/commitments for budgeting capital projects
Updating policies and procedures as needed
Review capital requests for completeness and accuracy
Review Ivalua Capital PO requests for completness and accuracy
Customer Service
Answering capital-related questions that com eto the capital finance email inbox
Creating and maintaining capital data and reports (both regular and ad hoc)
Review project financial statements and assumptions for completeness, reasonableness and accuracy
