Job Summary Working collaboratively with the Director of Finance Business Information Systems, Finance Directors, and Information Services department, to manage the back office applications in support of Finance initiatives and goals.
This Manager, Finance Business Information Systems will be responsible to:
Partner with internal customers to identify desired results and work to implement business improvements through process change, technology, and training
Provide leadership and management oversight for the Financial Systems team including both employees and vendor partners. Maintain and grow relationships with the various business and IT teams within the organization. Manage feedback mechanisms for end users to continuously improve customer service to our user community
Advocate for new technology, concepts, and approaches with the business stakeholders to help drive innovation and technological advancement. Keep abreast of technology trends and future roadmap direction and advise Finance leadership on recommended changes in direction or strategy
Manage all aspects of the team, including selection/hiring, team building, coaching and mentoring, performance management and rewards planning. Proactively develop talent
Promote and drive professional development and training efforts to improve overall business acumen, technical knowledge and analysis skill
Analyze system output/results, make recommendations for support process improvement, and direct the implementation of changes. Ensure continuing operational quality by prioritizing system bug fixes, testing, and releasing updates
Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders regarding the status of current issues, in-flight projects and future requirements related to Financial systems
Ensure Finance is following Accounting principles related to access, and segregation of duties with adherence to IT's SDLC. Manage the development process for all approved versions of business and functional specifications. Drive improvements in our overall QA and testing processes. Ensure that industry standards are utilized for documentation, support and enhancements to our ERP system.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration or a related field and a min of 5 years of deep technical experience developing and administering ERP and EPM systems preferably in a complex hospital environment. A Master's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration or a related field is preferred but does not substitute for experience
Experience in leading business analysis, requirements gathering, and support experience in an IT department supporting internal and external project assignments
Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders in an applications environment including Business partners, Developers, DBAs, QA testers/analysts, Project Managers, and executive team members
Proven ability to develop, document, and maintain operational policies and procedures including the design and documentation of detailed process flows
Ability to adjust to changing priorities and participation in multiple projects
Demonstrated ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and collaborate with a variety of individuals to achieve business results and understand current issues, especially involving Finance and Procurement topics
PeopleSoft FSCM, Hyperion Planning/Essbase/DRM/FDMEE, ImageNow, Kofax KTM, MicroStrategy is preferred
