The Director of Finance position will work with various fiscal and operational functions for the Hospitalâs overall budget, planning and analysis needs, in conjunction with the CFO of Keck and Norris.  In coordination with the CFO of KMC , this position will also serve as a liaison to the System departments responsible for financial planning, analysis, decision support, capital/supply chain and controllerâs services. In particular, the Finance Director will coordinate the hospitalâs annual budget process, working with Hospital leaders to develop and meet operating Budget targets. The Finance Director will work with leaders and System Decision Support to develop financial analyses, proformas, and financial models to further key Hospitalâs operational plans. The Finance Director, will coordinate Hospitals month end review and accounting close with System Finance and Revenue Cycle, providing analysis and key findings to the CFO or KMC. The Finance Director will work closely with Supply Chain Team and Construction/Real Estate/ Facilities to ensure accuracy of capital spend and co develop cash flow of projections. The Finance Director, in conjunction with the CFO of KMC will develop the Hospitalâs long-range plan in collaboration with Hospital leadership, System Strategy and System Decision Support. The Finance Director will serve as the key finance resource to Hospital department leaders.
The annual base salary range for this position is $133,120 - $233,910. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidateâs work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Minimum Education:â¢The ideal candidate will have a Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (or 10 years of experience) â¢Minimum Experience/Knowledge:Min of 5 years of hands-on related hospital/healthcare budgeting and financial analysis. â¢Min of 5 years of experience in a management experience in healthcare finance related field. â¢Min of 5 years of hands-on experience preparing and analyzing acute care hospital budgets, proforma developments and understanding of acute care Hospital Decision Support, is strongly preferred. â¢They will be an experienced Manager with the skills and experience to function independently. Required License/Certification:â¢Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
