General Summary: Assist the Accounting Manager of Data Analytics and Chief Financial Officer with Financial System administration, as well as provide Financial System internal support. Assist in the accurate preparation of data analytics, budgets, schedules, and financial statements. Develop custom ad-hoc reports by accessing information in financial databases. Must be able to follow instructions, prioritize projects, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of annual financial reports for presentation to the Partnerships.
Contribute in the Firm’s month-end close process.
Create financial reports that extract data from SQL databases for use by staff and attorneys.
Assist end-users with Financial System functionality.
Support Financial Data Administration with ad-hoc queries and data validation.
Assist Partners with ad-hoc client inquiries.
Create monthly recurring Journal Entries.
Support in developing and producing schemas for the adoption of data analytics system.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, accounting, finance, or business.
Must have prior background working extensively with Excel, report writers, VBA scripts and other SQL database extraction tools.
Prior experience with finance and accounting systems such as Aderant is preferred.
Highly competent working work with SQL select statements and relational database structures.
Data analytics and accounting knowledge with ability to identify potential errors and analyze variances in financial data or statements.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner.
Advanced knowledge and skill with Microsoft Excel.
Advanced knowledge and skill with various software packages including spreadsheets, word processing, power point, databases and report writing software, such as SQL Query Analyzer.
Ability to quickly learn software applications used for database information reporting.
Ability to perform system configurations and testing for new applications.
Ability to create and modify VBA scripts..
