Reporting to the health system CFO and in support of clinical enterprise leadership, the incumbent will help drive transformation of business and financial planning and processes across the health system, including the following areas: enterprise business planning review and activation, health system funds flow analyses and implementation associated with strategic and management initiatives, and operational optimization across various finance functions. Additional responsibilities for this incumbent include pursuing enterprise clinical financial planning, improving healthcare financial awareness across the clinical enterprise; and strengthening UCIH Finance structure and resource management infrastructure in anticipation of the significant growth outlined in the health system long range financial plan. The incumbent will have overall responsibility for key strategic finance and financial transformation initiatives. Incumbent will partner with UCIH Strategy and UCI School of Medicine, along with senior business and clinical leaders to develop and implement complex projects that drive sustainable, measurable improvements; identify, prioritize, and scope strategic priorities for the Health system, Strategy and School of Medicine partners; manage multiple complex projects from beginning to end using UCI Health tools and methods; partner with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement projects, programs, and processes.

Required Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Access and PowerPoint, and statistical data analysis software and other desktop applications
Experience with structured Change Management methodologies
Understands and has significant experience in the use of tools for process improvement to include lean methodologies, project management, change management, and other improvement techniques
Ability to manage risk and ambiguity on a project

Bachelor's degree

5+ years internal or external healthcare experience in an Academic setting (or equivalent experience) with strong operational background performing or managing finance and/or strategic projects
5+ years internal or external Academic Healthcare setting managing Enterprise funds flow supporting the faculty practice and clinical operations
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
Knowledge of healthcare market, government rules and regulations
Ability to work collaboratively with entity CFOs, COOs, CNOs, and Clinical Directors within Hospital and Physician practices to affect positive impact on identified opportunities in both finance and strategic domains
Experience with database and decision support systems
