Process PV and PVA for contract and non-contract vendor payments and refunds to insurance companies and individual patients.
Detailed Job Responsibilities:
Audit and process payments of contract/award vendor invoices and non-contract vendor invoices.
Audit and process refunds to insurance companies and individual patients. Apply refunds to patient accounts in the IDX system.
Prepare purchase orders for contract and non-contract vendors.
Prepare journal vouchers for interdepartmental copy and postal expense sharing.
Prepare refunds using PeopleSoft to U of M employees.
Track payment status in PeopleSoft.
File and handle financial transaction documents.
Serve as a resource for vendors and staff with questions regarding purchasing and accounts payable on contract and non-contract goods and services and refunds to insurance companies and individual patients.
Promote a safe, equitable, and respectful environment in which concerns can be addressed effectively.

Additional Responsibilities
Lead voucher specialist for Boynton clinical areas as Boynton Pharmacy and Dental process their own vouchers.
Coordinate the payment of voucher activities with requisition preparers, receivers and requestors.
Review payment activity in general ledger for accuracy.
Prepare journal entries to correct original chart string errors.
Reconcile general ledger accounts as needed.
Reconcile and post PCard activity for PCard holders.
Participate as a Chrome River Navigator to assist staff with Chrome River reimbursements.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED and two years general accounts transaction experience. Training/education may be substituted for up to one year of experience.
Business training and/or bookkeeping experience.
PC experience and working knowledge of Excel and spreadsheets.
Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture that respects and advances diversity and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Accounting experience.
University of Minnesota Financial System (EFS/PeopleSoft) and advanced PC Excel Experience.
Vendor Payment experience in EFS.
Excellent oral and communication skills
Experience working with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
