The Real Estate concentration within the Finance academic area of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School is seeking to fill one (1) position as Professor of the Practice with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2023. Approximately two-thirds of the position will consist of teaching Real Estate Finance courses at the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and undergraduate levels. Approximately one-third of the position will consist of functioning as an internal co-director at the Leonard W. Wood Center for Real Estate Studies, with primary tasks including: budget development and management, staff performance measurement, and Center operations oversight and resource coordination. It is also expected that the position will include responsibilities of facilitating staff support for the Center's external relationship management with employers, peer centers, and industry associations.
Education and Experience:
It is strongly preferred that applicants possess: (i) a proven track record demonstrating excellence in teaching Real Estate Finance courses in a graduate business school setting; (ii) industry experience, or a demonstrated deep understanding of the commercial Real Estate industry; and (iii) successful senior managerial and leadership experience at an academic institution.
