Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Financial Operations, the Finance Procurement DirectorIs the Chief Procurement Officer for Lehman College and its related entities including the Association,Auxiliary, Child Care Center, and Art Gallery.
In addition to the overview duties, the Director provides guidance to the departments on methods ofprocurement in accordance with State procurement regulations and to maximize College resources.Reviews, edits, and approves specifications for formal and informal solicitations, addenda,amendments, contracts, and purchase orders. Develops and reviews invitations to bid (ITB's), requestfor proposals (RFP's), and request for information (RFl's). Working with CUNY General Counsel,reviews all contracts to ensure conformance with CUNY policy. Oversees high level procurementprojects on behalf of the College. Responsible for the College's P-card, T-card, Print Smart, andMWBE Programs. Oversees the operations of the College's Central Stores/Mailroom. Supervisesapproximately 10 direct reports.
Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required. Knowledge of NYS procurementregulations and guidelines, PeopleSoft computer applications, or equivalent preferred.

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Directs a College's purchasing and contracting operations including staff supervision and legal compliance.
Oversees the procurement of all goods and services necessary for a College's operations within the parameters of CUNY and NYC procurement regulations.
Represents the College on purchasing and contract matters, providing expertise and guidance during the bidding, selection, negotiation and contract processes.
Manages and supervises the purchasing office staff to assure all activities related to goods and services are performed in accordance with the applicable guidelines and regulations.
Manages the Board Resolution process for contracts and purchases in excess of mandated amounts.
Liaisons with College, University and governmental representatives.
Provides reports to the executive administration on department operations as required.
Performs related duties as assigned.
