The Director of Finance is responsible for the company's long-term financial health and growth. This position will work closely with management to recommend and implement strategies to grow the company and improve profits. This position will oversee the accounting department and will be responsible for the accuracy of all internal and external reporting.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Required
2-3 years of related industry experience preferred
5-10 years of Accounting or Finance experience preferred
Experience in managing the company’s treasury functions and forecasting cash flows previous experience in preparing and analyzing budgets and monthly financial forecasting
Proficient in QuickBooks Software, with ability to migrate the accounting software as company continues to grow
Proficient in MS Office Excel
Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills
Able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly oversees the finance department including payroll.
Prepares financial statements and supporting schedules.
Organize and keep current all financial records in accordance with GAAP.
Prepares budgets and forecasting models with detailed variance analysis.
Prepare tax returns, schedules, and forms, ensuring that they're filed in a timely manner and that all taxes due are paid on time.
Meet with management to suggest potential changes to increase revenues and reduce costs.
Manages the company’s banking relations and cash requirements.
Performing financial modeling and analysis.
Perform reconciliations and detailed account analysis of general ledger accounts to ensure they properly reflect the company’s financial position.
Responsible for reviewing that the company’s revenues and expenses are correctly reported and classified and all subsidiary ledgers are reconciled to the general ledger
Analyze financial reports and possess the ability to identify and interpret business trends using financial data.
Prepares month-end financial statements and variance analysis.
Oversee independent financial audit.
Analyze and reconcile bank transactions to recorded transactions in the general ledger.
Ensure that the company’s internal controls are functioning properly and recommend changes as needed.
Assisting with business funding decisions.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
