Exchange Bank of Canada is currently seeking an enthusiastic professional for our Senior Treasury Analyst (Liquidity) position to join our Treasury Team.
The Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for maintaining an effective system of internal controls for liquidity risk management across the Group. This role manages the ongoing research, modelling, and analysis required to comply with regulatory guidelines for liquidity adequacy requirements and serves as the Treasury delegate for the Canadian Bankers Association’s list of Specialist Groups, as pertains to liquidity risk or as otherwise relevant to the Treasury Group’s core responsibilities. The Senior Treasury Analyst serves as a permanent member of the Group’s Liquidity Management Committee, responsible for maintaining the action plan of Committee deliverables. This role is responsible for the modelling and design of stress tests and scenario analyses pertinent to the prudent management of liquidity requirements as per regulatory and policy guidelines.
Senior Treasury Analyst:
Coordinate with the Treasurer to maintain a robust liquidity risk management framework across the Group
Act as subject matter expert for Basel regulatory requirements per Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) guidelines.
Responsible to ensure accurate modelling and reporting of Liquidity Adequacy Requirements per OSFI guidelines, including the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and the Streamlined Net Cumulative Cash Flow (NCCF)
Serve as the Treasury delegate to the Canadian Bankers Association’s list of Specialist Groups, responsible for reviewing and overseeing all regulatory requirements relevant to liquidity risk management and the Treasury function, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
Contribute to the annual revision of policies to ensure a robust framework of internal controls are in place to effectively manage liquidity risk within established tolerances and in accordance with regulatory requirements
Design and incorporate stress tests and scenario analyses of risk tolerances and limits to incorporate within a robust liquidity management framework in adherence to internal policy and regulatory requirements
Create a methodology to forecast policy and regulatory limits and incorporate these into existing multi-period cash flow forecasts
Responsible for daily reporting that provides visibility of intraday liquidity positions and metrics to ensure the Group meets payment and settlement requirements under both normal and stressed conditions
Ensure all liquidity risk management reporting includes an analytical depth and awareness of minimum thresholds to empower stakeholders with prescriptive measures and actionable information to manage liquidity to levels above minimum thresholds,
Provide timely and proactive updates to internal liquidity risk management models and policies ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. Coordinate across levels of senior management to ensure the proper level of governance and compliance with the Group’s liquidity risk management framework and related policies.
Coordinate across Treasury to develop key metrics, analyses, and KPIs to be included in management reports, Liquidity Management Committee materials, and to Board level reporting
Maintains desktop operating procedures in alignment with internal policies and regulatory guidelines

Liquidity risk management experience with ability to digest multiple sets of data in a timely and accurate fashion
Expertise in building Financial Models
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects to complete work according to established deadlines
