DATA ANALYTICS AND FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), to partner with team members and internal and external customers to design, develop, and deploy high quality business intelligence solutions that meet the current and future needs of CSAIL. Will implement, monitor, and support business intelligence solutions; perform analysis and develop data solutions to help solve real problems and assist in the implementation of these solutions; and--as a member of the fiscal team--use data to support CSAIL financial reporting (80%) and maintain a small financial portfolio (20%). Responsibilities include understanding and supporting the team's long-term strategic objectives through data analysis and conducting ongoing, planned, and ad-hoc analysis utilizing a variety of analytics/reporting tools.
Job Requirements REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; five years' experience working with logical and physical data modeling concepts; five years' experience with design, architecture, development, and implementation of one of the following BI tools--Cognos, BusinessObjects, Tableau, Qlikview, and/or MS Power BI; attention to detail; strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, organizational, process management, and oral and written communication skills; intermediate-level knowledge of analytical tools, methods, and statistical concepts; and knowledge of research administration, finance, and accounting. Must be able to actively listen, ask relevant questions, and translate the information accurately, clearly, and concisely; work both independently and collaboratively; and multitask in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment. PREFERRED: financial administration experience in a university, hospital or nonprofit organization; experience working with federal sponsors, including NSF, DoD, and NIH; knowledge of general accounting principles; and experience with Cognos, Tableau, and BrioQuery.
