● Passion for public service, supporting students, as well as helping state and local governments improve their outcomes and solve social problems. ● Demonstrated strong accounting, budgeting, analytical, and management skills needed, including understanding of GAAP accounting principles and familiarity with SAS112 regulations. ● Clear comfort and capacity to deliver on both strategy and implementation. ● Proactive in identifying and improving opportunities for operational efficiencies. Experience leading systems-driven thinking and applying relevant solutions a plus. ● Creative thinking and problem solving, with interest and ability to improve processes, introduce innovative ideas to the team, and learn and implement new technical and financial tools. ● Excellent communication skills required, both verbal and written. ● Strong organizational and project management capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and effectively prioritize time and tasks while adapting to changing needs and priorities. ● Demonstrated ability to lead a process, as well as to work collaboratively to achieve agreed-upon objectives. ● High level of maturity and empathy with outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills. Proven ability to build strong relationships and develop trust with colleagues and stakeholders. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a proven ability to handle sensitive data with discretion. ● Expertise with Excel and enterprise financial systems, as well as other Microsoft Office tools. Demonstrated experience with financial systems and data query tools. ● Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred.
