The Impact: The Business Owner has the primary business and prioritization responsibility for governance, compliance, and return on investment (ROI) for a Solution developed for a Value Stream. They are ultimately responsible for business outcomes, and can speak on behalf of the USPF practice and users. They are the key stakeholder on the Practice/Value Stream who must evaluate the solution's readiness for use by the Ratings Team, and actively participate in certain Agile release events.
Activities for this role enable them to fulfil their obligations to the enterprise while empowering the teams to do their best work. Our Business Owners are Lean-Agile Leaders who share accountability for the value delivered by a specific Value Stream. They have knowledge of the current Enterprise, Portfolio, and Value Stream context, and they're involved in driving or reviewing the program vision and Roadmap. The continuous involvement of the Business Owners throughout the PI serves as an important Guardrail to the budgetary spend.

Responsibilities:
- Understanding how the Strategic Themes influence the Value Stream/ART.
- Responsible for the business outcomes and ROI for their Value Stream
- Ensure priorities of the Value Stream align with the Portfolio Strategy
- Verify investments are spent on the right things as the right time
- Understand and help ensure that business objectives are understood and agreed to by key stakeholders
- Provide key insights on translation of strategic intent into Epics/Features
- Serve as Epic Owners to guide major enterprise initiatives
- Has deep knowledge in a specific business domain
- Influence prioritization
- Actively take part of in preparation for the upcoming PI (Program Increment)
- Provide input to backlog refinement activities Participate in Pre-PI Planning
- Participate in the PI Planning, I&A, and the Systems Demos meetings
- Focused on the successful general operation of the line of business
- Watch for significant external commitments and dependencies and help remove them
- Attend the Strategic Portfolio Review and monthly Portfolio Sync meetings.
- Review value stream metrics to understand how they are progress the business outcomes.
- Coordinate with regulatory, compliance and risk to ensure the VS is meeting its' commitments.
- Partner with the Product Management Lead on creating and refining a roadmap for the US Public Finance Value Stream
- Work closely with Product Management and Ratings Technology teams to define product requirements and provide context for the Value Stream's goals and priorities

- Overall 10+ years' experience within financial industry and 5+years' experience within the specific practice
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong experience in KPI-based project execution backed by strong process discipline
- Innovative and effective problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and management
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and team building skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with cross functional teams
- Ability to work with team members in different locations and work in a fast-paced environment
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $125,900 to $250,300. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
