About our client Our client is a strongly growing investment firm focusing on buy and build investments in the small cap space across the DACH region. They are looking to hire a Head of Finance. The position is based in Munich.
What the job involves
Lead the finance function for the funds, including accounting, investment controlling and tax
Main contact person for the portfolio companies regarding all matters financial
Creation of monthly reporting of portfolio companies as well as investor reports
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Reporting at fund level and liquidity planning of funds
Reviewing of tax returns of both funds in close cooperation with tax consultants
Support the investment team during transactions, in particular with the financial and tax due diligence as well as setting up financial structures for company acquisitions and exits
Ensure transparent communication with investors and handling of ad hoc investor inquiries
Main person of contact for external service providers, such as auditors, tax consultants and banks
Who we are looking for
University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines with a focus on accounting, audit or controlling
Significant relevant experience in audit or transaction advisory in a leading audit firm; alternatively, you have experience in investment controlling in a private equity-backed company or corporate
Experience in creation of financial statements
Previous experience with transactions and financial and tax due diligence is an advantage, but not a requirement
Excellent MS Office skills, in particular, Excel
Motivated, detail-oriented with an entrepreneurial mind-set
You are a team player with strong communication and presentation skills
