Citizens Electric Corp. is seeking a Manager of Finance to lead our non-profit cooperative utility in the area of Accounting and Finance at our headquarters in Perryville, MO. This position earns a competitive wage and excellent benefits.
As part of our team, our Manager of Finance Assists the CEO in the formulation, implementation and fulfillment of corporate policies, decisions, and actions necessary to improve and continue the operations of the corporation, while supporting the strategic decisions of the board of directors. Creates short- and long-range financial plans and recommends changes based on the analysis and projection of our financial position. This role is responsible for the corporation’s budget and assists in the formulation of a rate structure that is fair and sustainable. Staffs and leads the accounting department, including the treasury, long range financial planning, capital credit, internal and external financial reporting, financial analysis, accounting, accounts payable, fixed asset, payroll, corporate insurance, and tax functions.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting required. Advanced degree or CPA preferred. Must have excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. Should be generally familiar with FERC and utility industry accounting requirements. Minimum of five years’ experience in a management or supervisory position, which required reporting to and working with senior management.
