Collaborate to create and maintain an extensible/scalable service for reporting data. Work with stakeholders to identify new and existing reporting needs, to ensure the service supports expected use cases, based on agreed-upon schedules, budgets, and related resources Ensure that the services/tools are designed and built to comply with, and at all times adhere to, institutional and organizational security, data privacy and other risk & compliance policies, procedures and controls.
This position primarily works within the enterprise reporting platforms, specifically WebFOCUS, Argos, and PowerBI. This position will work closely with data stored in Banner, the Operational Data Store (ODS), Azure Data platforms/services, and other enterprise systems. Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution support activities within a complex integrated university-wide distributed reporting system environment.
This position works closely with other members of ITS and various departments around campus, to implement large projects.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 2 or more years of experience; or equivalent education and experience in a developer/integrations role required.
Ability to design and implement data visualizations that make information accessible and understandable to all stakeholders regardless of statistical experience
Experience with Ellucian Banner data
Experience with WebFOCUS, Argos, Microsoft PowerBI, or similar reporting platforms
Experience analyzing diverse data sets and creating solutions that scale efficiently
Experience with effective use of data stored in Oracle and SQL databases
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with applicable development/analysis/manipulation languages. Examples: WebFOCUS, Argos, Power BI
Experience in a higher education setting utilizing Ellucian Banner Software
