Responsibilities The Finance Systems Business Analyst 4 is directly responsible for successful support of finance systems, and creating system efficiencies, process transformation, and change management initiatives enabling the Financial Services Administration organization clear visibility and efficient use of the financial data to drive breakthrough performance in cost savings and financial reporting. The Analyst utllizes a deep understanding of business challenges and the ability to translate them into solutions. Interacts with all levels of Finance, IT and other Health Departments' management and staff and works with a high degree of independence and decision-making. Works on cross functional teams and with subject matter experts. Works closely with General Accounting leadership establishing priorities and acceptable timelines. May be required to work outside traditional business hours to meet critical needs of the Financial Services Administration division.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field and/or equivalent experience and training
- Several years of accounting experience desired, preferably in a public accounting, healthcare or a higher education organization
- Advanced experience with financial systems, including general ledgers, and budgetary systems
- Advanced experience in system implementations, data management and business process design and improvements
- Proven experience with advanced knowledge of accounting and financial management principles, theory and practice including knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles in Governmental Accounting Standards (GASB) environment
- Excellent technical skills with Excel, ERP systems (preferably Infor-Lawson), and SQL scripting
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities
- Demonstrated professional level of analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to develop detailed financial and statistical reports out of ERP systems and develop accurate reports on large volumes of data from multiple systems
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers around the organization, exhibiting assertiveness, a realistic perspective, objectivity, courtesy, tact, diplomacy and awareness of how own actions affect others
- Ability to work effectively in a complex environment with changing and conflicting priorities under tight deadlines and requirements for accuracy
- Proven ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and produce quality work while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work effectively, both individually and on teams and with employees at all levels of the organization and with a diverse population of stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications - CPA license or CPA candidate highly preferred
- Infor- Lawson and EPIC experience
