JOB SUMMARY

Under the general guidance of the Business & Finance Director, act as the supervisor over a financial team and perform budgetary and financial functions for IET departments and/or projects to assist in their effective management. Provide strategic guidance to department heads and managers regarding budgetary and financial issues. Ensure that appropriate accounting and internal controls are maintained, prepare and establish budgets, organize resources according to budgetary plans, prepare both routine and ad hoc financial reports using data from the general ledger and departmental or project budgets, forecast revenue and expenses, assist in the development of rates for recharge services, and coordinate the development and management of Service Level Agreements. Represent the Business & Finance Director in meetings and discussions as needed. Responsible for the supervision of a small finance team, handling all personnel matters, including hiring, performance management, coaching and other human resources related tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience performing high level financial activities within a large complex environment.
• Experience in financial forecasting and the development and use of sophisticated tools and financial models to monitor funds, assess and manage risk, make projections, and design financial and management reports.
• Experience supervising, leading or coaching staff working in a financial environment.
• Working knowledge and experience applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), federal and state regulatory compliance in financial management, accounting, personnel/payroll, and resource planning/risk management.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to clearly and effectively articulate goals and objectives to a diverse audience, secure and/or provide clarifying information, resolve problems, and effectively communicate policy decisions.
• Strategic planning, analytical, and program evaluation skills to effectively manage financial operations with significant budgets and provide sound financial recommendations to leadership and staff.

Preferred:
