The Clinical Finance Director will be responsible for the oversight of Women's Health Clinical Enterprise financial reporting for the Department of Ob, Gyn & RS, in concert with UCSF Health. This position will be responsible for providing consultation and recommendations to the Associate Chair and Senior Finance Director. In addition, the Clinical Finance Director, together with the Clinical Administrative Directors and Division Administrators, will hold fiscal management responsibility for all Women's Health clinical business interests, including cost center budget preparation, financial reporting and projections. The Clinical Finance Director will take the lead in developing financial projections for new Clinical Enterprise growth projects, including outreach sites, partnerships with other Departments and community providers. The incumbent will drive system operational performance, achieving efficiency targets, and ensuring the highest integrity for the business operations of the Ob, Gyn & RS clinical services. The Clinical Finance Director will also lead a team of Financial Analysts to provide financial reporting, budgeting support, and ad hoc analyses to the department addressing various needs and maintaining fiduciary compliance. In addition, the director will work collaboratively with research administrators.
The Women's Health Clinical Enterprise encompasses 22 clinical practices, spread between three UCSF campuses, as well as 10 satellite locations, 550 staff members, 110 clinical providers and approximately 156K patient visits annually. The Women's Health Clinical Enterprise revenue is approximately $175M in charges and $90M in collections with continued growth projected in subsequent years. Ob, Gyn & RS is comprised of practices that are in the Health System funds flow model, fee for service as well as a professional service contract model. It is imperative that this person has a full understanding of how the funds flow in the Department in all models, how to maximize revenue, how to collaborate with Health System leadership to manage expense for the clinical practices as well as how to grow reserves for the Department.
