The Senior Director of Finance & Administration leads all financial and operational procedures and initiatives at WBUR including but not limited to, the development of the annual budget and reforecast, quarterly confirmations and the year-end close activities and reporting. They oversee the annual audit engagement and ensures adherence to regulatory and institutional compliance reporting. This position directs the budgeting and accounting activities in accordance with non-profit accounting standards; oversees grant funding administration (pre and post-award); manages station-wide payroll and accounts payable processing, and gift processing. The Senior Director will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). They will work with the COO on strategic budget planning and initiatives and is a key contributor on all strategic planning and implementation toward WBURs mission and strategic transformation.
Master's Degree, CPA preferred.
12+ years of experience with eight years of leadership experience.
Strong analytical skills that can translate financials to business performance and expected outcomes.
Strong orientation to finding better ways to perform tasks to build capacity within the team.
Anticipates questions and exhibits ability to simplify messages for all spectrum of audiences.
Constant state of solutioning every obstacle; turning them into opportunities. Is equipped and successful in turning obstacles into opportunities
