The Program Finance Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the Washington State Academy of Sciences including nance, accounting, insurance, contracts, legal, human resources, information technology and some administrative functions of the organization. The role is expected ensure the staff team has systems in place to achieve success.
A Bachelor's degree, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting and two (2) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent education/experience.
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Ability to travel.
At least 5 years of experience in finance, operations, business administration or related roles.
Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including nance, production, and employee management.
Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum eciency and productivity.
Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, eciency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
Experience with budget and business plan development.
Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity.
Strong working knowledge of business management software.
Highly organized and ability to wear multiple hats in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment; a driving force who manages toward clarity and solutions.
A successful track record in setting priorities, shaping processes, guiding investment in people and systems, and developing an infrastructure that creates a stronger and more ecient organization.

This position is based in Seattle; however, remote work may be considered for candidates residing in Washington.
Range 48 $3,792 - $4,974 (Step A through L). Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
This is a permanent position.
