The Finance Director will responsible for the financial analysis and reporting with in one of Coniferâ��s major business units with more the $350M in expense oversight. The director will be a key member of the operational leadership team and a trusted advisor to the Unit President. This will entail leading the quarterly forecasting, annual business plan for the operation. It will also support the month-end reporting cycles including the preparation of monthly financial reporting and analysis as well as working with the unit finance leaders in support of their business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Others may be assigned.
Serve as finance business partner for Operational Business Unit.
Coordinate the forecasting and budgeting activities for business units including data gathering, analysis and reporting
Maintain allocation methodology for cost transfer from Operational Unit to Client P&L
Lead ad hoc analysis in support of the business
Prepare and give presentations to Senior Management
Identify opportunities to streamline business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Development of cost models / ROI calculations and leadership within proposal evaluation
Ensure a control environment within all operating account that ensures compliance with all contractual and internal policy commitments
Working with central accounting to provide information for timely and accurate monthly financial close and customer invoicing
Establishing and leading monthly financial variance reviews with operational leaders to ensure financial discipline

Thorough knowledge of federal, state and regulatory accounting and reporting regulations, GAAP, cost management techniques, financial analysis and budgets required
Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis processes;
Excellent skills in complex analytic problem solving, strategic planning, program development, project management, change management and group process
Must embrace the continuous improvement mindset, seeking out new ways to do things and generate efficiencies or better analytical insights
Strong oral, written and formal presentation skills including ability to communicate complex financial issues in a simple way

Ability to understand the vision of the organization and translate it into specific plans and actions that achieve desired results
Strong drive for results including demonstrated initiative necessary to anticipate, recognize and solve for challenges/problems

Must possess exceptional Microsoft excel skills

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
Minimum of 8 â�� 12 years financial analysis including 2 â�� 4 years in leadership
Management or related experience in a health care system and/or multi-service provider setting a plus
Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or other related field required
Master's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or other related field preferred
