PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Planning

• Creates financial projections under leadership guidance with inputs from stakeholders; manipulates models to produce a variety of scenarios.
• Works collaboratively with the Administrator of Breast Oncology, Grants Managers, Clinical Trials, Financial Office, Office of Philanthropy, and others to ensure this role is valuable and successful.
• Prepares data analysis and present conclusions or recommendations to support strategic direction.
• Assists and takes part in multiple financially related projects that span over all of Breast Oncology

Financial Operations

• Aggregates financial reporting on the Breast Oncology accounts, including but not limited to gifts, grants, clinical trials, discretionary accounts, and operating budgets.
• Provides regular (monthly, quarterly and yearly) financial summaries.
• Develops a one-page comprehensive financial dashboard for all financial aspects of the Breast Oncology Division.
• Speaks to specific revenue and expense allocations and provide details on the summaries mentioned above.
• Assists with the review and approval of allocation changes, expense reimbursement requests, invoices, vendor payments, and p-card management.
• Supports research agreement negotiations, processing and tracking between and among HMS-affiliated institutions.
• Tracks various startup packages and commitments, including salary payback.
• Performs other financial transactions as directed.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor???s degree required; master???s degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in strategy, financial planning, or project management; preference is more than 5 years of experience in financial and budget management position within a health care research administration environment.
