POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager will work on financial planning for the Breast Oncology department and provide analytical project management. Assists in the development of budgets, agreements, and financial reports across different platforms in a collaborative environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates financial projections under leadership guidance with inputs from stakeholders; manipulates models to produce a variety of scenarios.
Works collaboratively with the Administrator of Breast Oncology, Grants Managers, Clinical Trials, Financial Office, Office of Philanthropy, and others to ensure this role is valuable and successful.
Prepares data analysis and present conclusions or recommendations to support strategic direction.
Assists and takes part in multiple financially related projects that span over all of Breast Oncology
Aggregates financial reporting on the Breast Oncology accounts, including but not limited to gifts, grants, clinical trials, discretionary accounts, and operating budgets.
Provides regular (monthly, quarterly and yearly) financial summaries.
Develops a one-page comprehensive financial dashboard for all financial aspects of the Breast Oncology Division.
Speaks to specific revenue and expense allocations and provide details on the summaries mentioned above.
Assists with the review and approval of allocation changes, expense reimbursement requests, invoices, vendor payments, and p-card management.
Supports research agreement negotiations, processing and tracking between and among HMS-affiliated institutions.
Tracks various startup packages and commitments, including salary payback.
Performs other financial transactions as directed.
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in strategy, financial planning, or project management; preference is more than 5 years of experience in financial and budget management position within a health care research administration environment.
