DUTIES: Conduct economic research to interpret economic and financial data and analyze statistical data to map prevailing financial trends across various sectors and industries, including the retail clothing sector. Perform economic analyses and provide assessment of business needs of financial and other sectors in the existing market. Research business practices, competition, and relationships of current and potential investments/portfolio companies. Compile data for daily, weekly, and periodic reports for internal use to share the results of investigations pertaining to the financial, economic and business trends of current and potential investments and peer private investment firms. Present research in arranged presentations to internal personnel using graphic illustrations. Review new policies and proposed regulations and formulate recommendations to aid in market interpretations to stay abreast of economic and regulatory changes in the specific markets in which Dubin & Co. holds investments. Help manage the company’s compliance program focused on the regulatory requirements placed upon Dubin & Co.s portfolio companies by various self-regulatory organizations including SEC, the NFA and FINRA. Review and formulate policies that regulate investments and the transfer of capital.

REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or in a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or a related position. Three (3) years of experience must include experience researching, forecasting, and interpreting economic trends within the private portfolio management sector; Analyzing and reviewing private investment management briefings for investors and company board members; Identifying market and investment trends for current and potential investments; Interpreting financial datasets and private investment industry reports from peer private investment firms; Analyzing statistical data to map prevailing financial trends across various sectors and industries, specifically including the retail clothing sector; and managing a compliance program focused on the regulatory requirements placed upon portfolio companies by various self-regulatory organizations including, the SEC, the NFA and FINRA.
