Our location in Lake Bluff, Illinois, currently has an opportunity for a Finance Director to join our Finance team supporting Abbott's Global Procurement.

The Finance Director role in Corporate FP&A supports our Global Procurement organization including Enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.  The position will partner with business and finance leaders to advise and guide financial performance and achieve business goals.  The position has a team of four professionals.

What You Will Do:

• Partner with the Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer and team to manage a budget of over $65MM, along with Suite-level Requests for Capital Expenditures (RCE's), to achieve strategic goals and objectives.   Responsible for financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, decision-making and project support as well as internal controls.
• Financial lead of Abbott's multi-faceted Indirect Spend Optimization strategy, Project Buy-In, driving significant savings along with the implementation of a Guided Buying tool.
• Support financially other key strategic initiatives and activities across the Enterprise and/or across multiple businesses, obtaining alignment and driving value for Abbott.   Includes Abbott's 2030 Sustainability Targets, Supply Chain Resilience and  Cost Forensics / Should Cost capabilities.
• Collaborate with business and finance partners at all levels, offering exceptional external insights and in-depth knowledge of Abbott, as well as the healthcare industry, to identify and execute programs and initiatives leading to new business margin enhancement opportunities to elevate financial performance and savings across the enterprise. Ensure key initiatives, programs and related business cases are presented with complete and reliable financials.
• Lead, direct, and develop a team of four finance professionals.    Champion Abbott Finance talent recruitment efforts.

Education and Experience You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting or finance; CPA and/or MA, MBA preferred
• 10 or more years of finance and/or accounting experience.  Previous experience successfully supporting manufacturing/supply chain/ operations business units is highly desirable.
• Proficient with financial modeling tools including Excel, PowerPoint and other FP&A applications
• Exceptional leadership and team building skills, ability to interact with all levels in a global environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable to present complex financial issues in simple, concise format and terms
• Ability to work on multiple priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment
