Reporting to the Sr. Director of Lottery Technology finance and in support of the CFO of Global Lottery, this is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced finance professional to play a critical role in the success of IGT's Global Lottery finance organization. The role is a key business partner with the business leaders to drive to achieve short, medium, and long-term strategic and financial goals. The Director of Lottery Technology Finance is primarily responsible for the hands-on finance activities within the Global Infrastructure & Communications and CTO Lottery & Italy Technology organizations to include month end closing process, financial planning & forecasting, budget preparation, financial reporting & analysis, and management of 4 team members.
Month end closing process - Lead month end process through:
Review monthly journal entries
Document & report out variances (ex. Actual vs Forecast, Actual vs Budget) for monthly accounting review
Monitor various cost distribution models for over/under absorption and make necessary journal entries
Financial Planning & Analysis
Coordinate the internal forecast calendar with the teams to meet internal forecast dates
Perform financial forecasting of headcount, operating expenses, charge outs and capital expenditures forecast for assigned areas
Assist in preparation of forecast review presentation & necessary commentary
Supports cost control initiatives, monitors metric and KPI's, creates various ad-hoc reporting and analyses
Support the annual 5-year plan preparation through system input, presentations, budget variance commentaries, and cost analyses
Drive annual standard cost distribution models (ex. standard internal labor rates)
Ensure alignment with cost recipients from the various cost distribution models
Guide the team in development and improvements of reporting systems and tools
Develops and evaluates team personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
8+ years of job-related accounting or forecast experience.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ability to manipulate data extracts using Excel VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, sumif etc.
Self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team
Accomplished management skills and demonstrated ability to develop team
Relationship management across all levels of a comparable size/structure organization
Highly organized with ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
Proficient in SAP, BPC/Hyperion Planning Application, Excel and PowerPoint Understanding of and adherence to Accounting policies and SOX controls.
