The Relationship Lending Group (RLG) is responsible for underwriting, structuring, executing and advising on relationship based lending and certain other financing transactions requiring a capital commitment from Goldman Sachs. Types of transactions can include unsecured revolvers, secured revolvers (ABLs and Borrowing Base facilities), term loans, delayed draw term loans, bridge loans and letter of credit facilities in the context of primary loan syndication, refinancing, amendments, secondary market purchases and bilateral lending.
Members of the RLG Team work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders on the execution of such mandates, following the transaction through the approval process and managing the negotiation of loan documentation.
The role will also be responsible for reviews of funds flow schedules for all deals originated by the EMEA Financing Group. These reviews will involve a cross-check of funds flows vis-??-vis capital committee memos as well as transaction documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy, with a particular focus on ensuring that any amounts due to Goldman Sachs are being appropriately retained
significant years of related financial services experience
Good credit analysis skills and a good understanding of financing documentation are essential.
Accurate and detail-oriented with demonstrated technical proficiency, sound judgment and integrity
Excellent communication skills: ability to speak with internal and external parties, such as IBD teams, syndication banks and GS clients
Strong organizational skills: able to manage multiple tasks and competing work streams
Highly motivated and adaptable: ability to respond creatively and quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure, changing environment
