Reporting to the Finance Controller your primary responsibility will be day to day processing of accounts payable, receivable, collecting and preparing payroll on a weekly and monthly basis and account reconciliation. You will play a critical role in providing support to the Finance department at Head Office, in Sydney, Australia, so you will have excellent attention to detail, strong problem solving skills, are organised and can prioritise your workload.
As part of a small finance team with operational responsibilities across multiple countries, your ability to coordinate and work alongside all areas of the business is essential. You are a forward thinker and have the ability to analyse data and use that to assist with projecting the future financial picture of the company.
Your responsibilities will include but, are not limited to:
AP/AR Management – Prepare, send and follow up on invoices
Perform routine calculations and reconciliations to produce analyses and reports
Assist with processing payroll
Review, manage and adhere to the Head Office and subsidiary company budgets
Preparing data for quarterly reviews for the company and company subsidiaries
Process and prepare financial business forms
Assist the Finance Controller and Finance department in creating financial reports
Update and maintain spreadsheets on a regular basis
Attend to, resolve and efficiently respond to internal and external enquiries and requests
Conduct annual reconciliations in line with Modern Awards
Review and audit financial statements and reports
Adhere to the company’s financial policies and procedures
Attend finance department and company wide meetings
Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency and cost reduction
Other ad hoc administrative tasks
Your application will have an advantage if:
You have a Bachelor of Accounting/Finance
You have at least two to three years’ experience in a similar role
You have experience working with NetSuite
You have experience in handling international and multi-company accounts (desirable)
You have experience working with currency exchange rates
You have advanced Excel, data management and Microsoft Word skills
