The Senior Manager, IS Finance, supports the Information Services Department with budget, financial management including but not limited to record keeping and budget analysis and forecasting. Has the ability to perform multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with department Executives, Directors, managers, and staff. Supports the purchasing function (quoting and invoicing) for the IT department. The incumbent will undertake operational budget analyses to determine opportunities for cost savings, appropriate pacing of initiative spending and proactive cash flow predictions for the financial administration of the health system. Incumbent will also ensure that billing and account management practices are consistent with university and health system policies and serves as the department's primary interface to hospital and health system financial teams as relates to operational business-. Incumbent will support the department's administrators and directors in budget preparation and will give targeted progress reports on budget performance at regular intervals. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for the recruitment, development and retention of the budget and finance team, and will provide policy guidance for all administrative staff of the department. Minimum Education:â¢High School Diploma or equivalent â¢Bachelorâs Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or related fieldPreferredâ¢Masterâs Degree in Business administration, Finance, or related fieldâ¢Six Sigma Green Belt certificationMinimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢12+ years of total post-collegiate relevant professional experienceâ¢5+ years successfully coaching, mentoring, and providing day to day direction and support to employees and CWsâ¢5+ years of experience of supporting technology organizations in a healthcare provider environmentâ¢Proficiency in MSOffice Suite including Project, Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPointâ¢Exceptional and adaptive written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel from Executive level to frontline staffâ¢Creative, self-confident, and flexiblePreferred:â¢Experience developing business casesâ¢Performance improvement experience in the areas of process / workflow modeling and root cause analysisRequired License/Certification:â¢LA City Fire and Safety Certification. If no certification upon hire, must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
