Working both independently and as a member of the IANR Business Center Operations team, this position is responsible for the financial management of various funding sources associated with the areas that are supported by the Business Center. Work closely with administrators, faculty and staff to ensure proper accounting procedures, regulations and deadlines are followed regarding each funding source. Financial management activities to include: monitoring and evaluating expenditures to ensure accuracy relative to budget, allowability and funding restrictions; monitoring further obligations with contracts; preparing and analyzing monthly financial and statistical reports; providing guidance on best practices and effective use of resources.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of related finance or grants related work experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience with SAP or large integrated finance system. A willingness and demonstrated ability to learn new hardware and software systems. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with rules and regulations. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of reporting lines. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience performing project or cost accounting. Experience conducting training. Experience serving multiple units as part of a service team. Experience performing grant-related tasks at a University of Nebraska institution. Experience with NuGrant or similar grants management system. Knowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines related to business practices. Knowledge of grant terminology and practices. Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.
