The Grant & Finance Specialistprovides day-to-day operational support for Annenberg Institute. Provides comprehensive pre and post award support, and financial service support, independently prepare and review sponsored award proposals using knowledge of University and sponsor rules and regulations using InfoEd, COEUS award management systems, Grants.Gov, Workspace, eRA Commons, Fastlane and other sponsor submission tools.Â Manages a portfolio of sponsored research funding by reviewing, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with award terms and conditions.Â Provides guidance regarding sponsored project issues, manages a portfolio on sponsored research funding by reviewing, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with award terms and conditions, and supports the Chief of Staff in managing award budgets, expenditure review, and financial reporting. Review and approve transactions submitted in Workday and via PCard, ensuring compliance with university guidelines. Support the Assistant Director, Operations with all hiring processes for Annenberg Institute personnel. Will serve as the Workday HR Coordinator, working with the Assistant Director to provide oversight of daily HR business processes.
A minimum of 3-5 years of related research administration, ï¬nance, and budget experience, preferably in an academic environment, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Experience with proposal preparation with federal and non-federal grants and using the InfoEd/Coeus grants management (or similar) system.
Experience analyzing RFPs.
Familiarity with NSF Fastlane, Research.gov, Grants.gov, eRA Commons, and Proposal Central preferred.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organization capabilities.
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Project or equivalent.
Ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, organize/orchestrate details of several ongoing projects.
Work well under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to manage and safeguard confidential, personal, business and financial data and information.
Ability to learn new systems.
Familiarity with federal and foundation funding processes.
Team player with a strong service-oriented attitude.
Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.Â Â
