The mission of the Finance Division is to provide university partners and stakeholders with the tools and resources needed to be well-informed leaders and effective decision makers. We provide data, information, analysis, knowledge and methods for our leaders to anticipate and respond effectively to the challenges facing the university.
The Accounts Payable Department is seeking applicants for an Accounts Payable Representative to join our team. Reporting to the Manager of Accounts Payable, this person is responsible for performing all accounts payable functions.
Core Responsibilities include:
Payment processing for all ledgers, including electronic and check payments including resolving issues as they occur
Researching and resolving payment issues and questions with campus and external representatives of the university
Maintaining the Oracle holds reports and resolving open items
Good communication skills in order to effectively interact vendors and campus departments
Ability to work in multiple Accounts Payable invoice processing systems
Serve as back-up other accounts payable team members, as needed
Providing excellent customer support and supporting the AP email In-box ensuring timely response to questions
You must demonstrate:
Ability to solve problems as they arise independently
Assist with special projects as requested by the Accounts Payable manager in support of the overall Accounts Payable team
Ability to work independently and work well in a team environment
High attention to detail
Excellent communication skills

High school degree or equivalent required, Associate's degree or Bachelor's is preferred
1-3 years of relevant Accounts Payable experience in a customer focused environment
Prior experience with Oracle or similar financial systems strongly preferred.
