The School of Business Administration at Oakland University seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position in finance starting August 15, 2022. Qualified candidates for tenure-track positions must hold a PhD from an accredited institution, have excellent research and teaching skills, and must demonstrate the ability to produce scholarly work at the highest level. Finance faculty teach in MBA and/or undergraduate programs. The salary is competitive and the fringe benefits are excellent. Applicants must also demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Candidates are sought in all areas of Finance, but we are particularly interested in candidates who possess the ability to conduct high quality research and excellent teaching in:
Financial Technology (FinTech);
Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in finance context;
Advanced econometric/data analytics skills
A PhD degree in finance or related areas from an accredited AACSB International school. Advanced ABD status will also be considered, but should have all requirements for a PhD completed prior to August 15, 2022.
