The Director Finance, Anesthesia Foundation shall be responsible for:
Directing and managing the day to day operations of the Anesthesia Foundation finance operations. Supervises and evaluates the finance team, plans for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth. Establishing priorities, reviewing progress and problem solving.
Interpreting Hospital, Physician's Organization, government and Financial Accounting Standards Board regulations and issues related to financial management and accounting. Communicating their existence and impact on anesthesia foundation and foundation management team.
Providing a myriad of financial analyses of anesthesia activities to determine appropriate level of funding, expenses, overhead, trends, projections and other needs of the Anesthesia Foundation, to hospital and Anesthesia Foundation senior leadership.
Working with hospital administration, departments, and anesthesia management to identify and resolve problems with systems, procedures, policy, or other financial issues and, where appropriate, develops new systems or other alternatives that result in improved service and/or more cost efficiencies.
Supporting the foundation annual independent audit, including preparing the financial statements, supporting schedules and variance reporting, and assesses and responds to any findings.
Developing alternative strategies and solutions to identify control or procedural weaknesses, whether identified via an audit or by departmental reviews.
Directing all operational and financial activities regarding all the Anesthesia Foundation sponsored benefits plans. Coordinates all activities of third party administrators and attorneys regarding all plans.
Recommending and setting accounting procedures as they relate to grant and contract administration.
In order to qualify you must have:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance and 6 years of closely relevant experience.
Analytical skills necessary to plan for, design or enhance hospital-wide systems and programs and resolve problems.
Comprehensive and up to date awareness of the regulations and guidelines for managing a large budget.
Ability to effectively manage the employees within assigned unit/department and to persuade and negotiate with peer level directors on issues and programs that impact the department and foundation.
Ability to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediating fair and workable solutions
