The Role: This role is a key member of the combined S&P Global Platts and IHS Resources (Platts/Resources) Integration Management Office (IMO) and Finance team. This position is responsible for the financial planning, analysis, tracking and reporting for the value capture of the integrated organization, post the merger between S&P Global and IHS. This role will be supporting the IMO Lead and Finance Senior Leadership team within Platts/Resources. This position will also collaborate and work jointly with the Platts/Resources People team and assist with ad hoc requests and special projects related to the integration.

The Team: You will be joining the Platts Finance team that provides decision support and owns the value capture for the newly combined entity. You are responsible for execution of the ongoing financial planning & analysis cycle, including monthly close, budgeting, forecasting and finance business partnering for the integration. You will own the tracking, analysis and presentation of the value capture / synergy achievements. The role reports to the Head of Finance. This role has one direct report, a Senior Financial Analyst.
The Impact: This position will work along-side the IMO Lead, Senior Finance team and People Leadership provide critical decision support, helping them understand financial performance, develop business forecasts and apply resources efficiently. It is a crucial role that will help to inform Senior Management and drive the success of the integration's synergies.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,100 to $207,900. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
Upon transfer from third party, own all revenue and expense synergy, recurring expense and cost-to-achieve models.
Design and maintain tracking procedures to accurately track value capture and streamline reporting
Manage the monthly close related to the Integration and forecasting processes including P&L and balance sheet reporting.
Work with the team to generate the annual operating plan and monthly rolling forecasts.
Manage and track integration related headcount and changes, and maintain confidentiality.
Interplay with central VCO team and provide necessary inputs as needed as part of synergy plan in coordination with the People team.
Manage and track all expenses and related invoices with regards to the integration.
Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Compile, review, analyze and interpret monthly financial progress and forecasts, provide updates to Platts/Resources Senior Management and SPGI/IHS Corporate.
Perform variance analysis and assist with preparation of presentations and dashboards to Senior Management, Corporate and the People team.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting. MBA preferred.
10+ years' work experience in finance/accounting department.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to identify a problem and intuitively develop solutions and execute.
Strong skills in MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookups) and PowerPoint.
Experience with ERP (Oracle Financials), Cognos TM1, Anaplan and Tableau preferred.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to collaborate across all levels.
Work with and handle confidential data.
Ability to balance various stakeholders competing priorities.
Ability to manage upward to Senior Leadership
Knowledge of automation tools.
Ability to work independently and as a fully contributing member of a team.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
