Your seat at the Software and Control leadership table makes you a key contributor to the segment's overall financial leadership and performance. You will support the transformation of new business models, including subscription-based cloud and all associated decision support, accounting and process changes. Partnering with the business Vice Presidents within Software and Control and as part of the senior leadership team, you will develop and successfully execute against the segment's business strategy.
This segment is central to the future growth of Rockwell com. Software & Control represents almost $2B in annual sales and includes the Company's highest margin businesses such as the Company's software offerings and Logix, our highly differentiated control platform. A significant part of the company's >$400M R&D budget is within this segment.

You will have a crucial role in this work. As a leader, you will influence smart manufacturing strategy - how we bring Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) together to seize the opportunities created by major shifts in industrial production. You will directly support the Software and Control leadership team, and indirectly support 23,000 employees, on our own digital transformation, redefining, reimagining, and putting the power of people and machines to work in every region of the world.
You will help bring the Connected Enterprise to life.
Partner with business leaders to develop the business's short term and long-term strategic goals and financial plan.
Provide insightful business decision support, including the development and implementation of action plans to improve financial performance in partnership with business leadership.
Support business leaders in ensuring investments are aligned with overall strategy and prioritized accordingly.
Take a leadership role in acquisition activities (valuation, diligence, integration).
Provide leadership and insights for quote to cash processes and commercial pricing of the segment's portfolio of products
Develop and operationalize the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecast. Work with the business unit leaders to ensure successful execution of the AOP and forecasts.
Be a champion for continuous improvement: work with leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and realize productivity targets.
Develop key business metrics and associated tracking systems. Monitor key business/finance metrics to achieve objectives.
Coordinate and ensure thorough and accurate completion of all internal control environment cyclical activities and procedures for the segment. Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements. Coordinate and monitor the timely and thorough remediation of all financial issues identified by the Company's internal and external auditors.
Lead and manage direct and indirect finance staff with a focus on coaching, monitoring performance and career development to attract and retain high potential talent.
Ensure policies and procedures for the business are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, SOX requirements and Rockwell Automation's accounting policies and procedures.

Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of people management experience and progressive finance/accounting experience including technical financial planning, accounting and control, US GAAP, corporate governance, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and other statutory requirements
Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated experience as a change manager
Prior experience as a finance leader in a publicly traded, or global software company with significant development activities
Blackbelt/Greenbelt certification a plus
B.S. or B.A. in Finance or Accounting or related business field required; MBA and/or CPA a plus
