The Role: Finance Project Manager is required to own specific workstreams within the Annuity Commutation project and manage Finance aspects of quotation and transaction workstreams reporting. This role needs someone who is used to dealing with senior stakeholders, is adaptable and flexible in their approach to their work, is able to work independently, and who can master the systems and processes of M&G plc.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity and it will begin working remotely and will then have a blended approach working from home and from one of our offices in Stirling, Edinburgh or London.

Knowledge & Experience
Previous experience project managing a Matching Adjustment reapplication to PRA process.
Experience of engaging with key stakeholders at Director and Exec level
Detailed knowledge and experience of RAID management, reporting and impacts on programme/portfolio (incl. issues resolution support and escalation practices where required)
Cost tracking, budgeting and planning
Outcomes and benefits delivery management (tracking of both financial and non-financial benefits)
Smooth closedown of workstreams, including support for the business acceptance sign-off process
We expect a candidate to also have:
Ability to work with key SMEs - Actuarial, Accounting & IT
Experience of engaging with stakeholders across the organisation in Internal Audit, Risk, Transformation Office, other contributory work streams across multiple programmes
Proactive self-starter, happy to take ownership of responsibilities, run meetings and workshops as required
Excellent attention to detail and high quality of reporting outputs
Excellent analytical and organisational skills, able to process and present information in a structured format to meet demanding timescales, and present in a clear unambiguous way
MS Project skills and excellent Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
Risk management principles and their impacts on projects
Effective collaborator / team worker to help ensure PMO artefacts (i.e. plans, financials, resource management, RAID) have reporting traceability / integrity, and being leveraged as intended for the wider benefit of the programme
Essential Experience of:
Proven track record of project delivery in a Life and Pensions environment
Proven track record of project delivery in customer communication / mailing type project /programme
Insurance industry knowledge
