We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager - Global Finance.
Reporting to the Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager, the candidate will lead a team to ensure the submission of the HKMA regulatory reporting in accordance with the relevant requirements within the required deadlines
Manage an 'impairment testing of interest in associate' process
Analyse Chinese banks' results and macroeconomic developments in China, including the assimilation of input from subject matter experts
Manage a valuation model, including working with a model developer periodically to conduct enhancements and user acceptance testing
Present the results of the impairment test at review and challenge sessions
Prepare Committee level and other papers, and maintain documentation, on the impairment test which includes aspects of valuation, accounting, process and controls
Manage stakeholders, including reviewers from within and external to HSBC
Prepare HSBC's external disclosures on the impairment test
Manage a process and prepare Committee level papers, on other reporting matters
Manage the compilation and preparation of other HSBC disclosures
Support ad hoc projects
University graduate with experience in financial analysis and writing financial commentaries for a bank, with a good understanding of the factors that drive banks' results
Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Strong and effective English communication skills (writing, listening and speaking)
Confidence to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior management, and technical and non-technical staff
Numerate, with strong analytical, judgement and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
