The Finance Director for the College of Charleston Athletic Fund (CCAF) professional duties consist of creation and maintenance of accounting records, and the verification and documentation of complex financial transactions used in the preparation of financial records and reports. The Director also serves as financial liaison for; CCAF independent auditors, banking contacts, CCAF Finance Committee, CCAF Board of Directors, as well as the CofC Treasure’s Office, Controllers Office, and the coaches and staff of CofC Athletic Department. This position also manages vehicles, insurance policies, hospitality permits, licenses, Sled reports, and inventory of assets.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration and 2 years of experience as a full-charge accountant is required. Master’s degree and 5 years of full charge accounting in non-profit experience is preferred. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and computerized accounting software required. Experience in Division 1 Athletics strongly preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Must have strong computer system and organizational skills and the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data. Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 with an emphasis on Excel is required. Experience in a non-profit organization preferred.
