Springmont School is searching for an exceptional person with a mind for business and a heart for schools to join our non-profit team immediately.  This is a full-time, senior-level position in independent school finance and requires accounting, management, and HR experience and understanding.  Business Office responsibilities span bookkeeping and payroll to financial strategic financial planning and annual audits. 

Springmont is a non-sectarian, accredited day school serving 240 students 18 months through 8th grade. Located on seven wooded acres in north metro-Atlanta, Springmont is recognized as a premier independent, Montessori school. With a legacy of more than 57 years, we serve a unique and distinctive mission, and our graduates matriculate to competitive area high schools.

Responsibilities include:

• Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the Head of School and Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees
• Assisting with annual budgeting, including setting tuition and tuition assistance
• Managing day to day bookkeeping, including general ledger, monthly departmental statements, bank accounts, credit card transactions, and payment plans/receivables
• Managing vendor contracts and accounts payable
• Managing benefits and payroll for all personnel
• Preparing annual employment agreements and managing background checks
• Managing compliance with finance, HR, and workers’ comp laws
• Coordinating annual review of financial data
