A Brief Overview The Senior Vice President, Business Development & Finance is charged with the development, execution and oversight of the Company's existing and prospective investment & financial activity. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for driving key business performance trends, including identifying and developing new organic business strategies, inorganic investment/M&A opportunities, development of strategic partnerships, business planning, forecasting, and capital markets strategies. The SVP of Business Development & Finance partners internally with other key operating leaders and senior executives to develop corporate strategy, optimize business performance, spearhead planning and reporting, collaborate on M&A and capital strategy, and provide leadership development for the finance team.
What this position does to contribute to the Company’s success
Collaborates in the development, communication and execution of the financial vision and corporate strategy.
Oversees the annual budgeting process and monthly financial forecasts, monitoring overall financial health and providing insights to optimize business performance and planning.
Evaluates capital allocation and investment activities, monitoring financial guardrails and reporting key financial trends.
Partners with Chief Financial Officer and external advisors in developing financial models to value investment opportunities and execute capital markets transactions in support of mergers, acquisitions, and organic growth initiatives.
Manages Investor Relations function, representing the company to shareholders and the financial and investment community.
Represents the company from a relationship, strategy, and reporting perspective for certain board of directors and governance roles associated with existing & prospective strategic investments and partnerships.
Manages Risk Management and Internal Audit function to guide financial accuracy, internal controls and regulatory compliance, examining and improving operating practices of the organization.
Prepares high-level performance reports analyzing key drivers of business and company performance in support of senior management needs, board meetings, and earnings calls.
Provides quality leadership, training and direction with frequent feedback to high-performing teams in an effort to further develop the team, advance skillsets, improve business acumen and promote career mobility and development. Positions department to be able to attract and recruit top talent.

Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university required.
An equivalent amount of experience may substitute for the education.
Master's Degree preferred.
10 years or more Experience in corporate finance and strategic advisory for public companies, including direct interaction with senior executives and Board of Directors required.
Experience in specialized functions including mergers, acquisitions, investor relations, capital markets, risk management and internal audit required.
