The Finance Director reports to Head of School, is a member of Senior Leadership, and is a member of the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees. The Finance Director also is the HR manager for the school performing a variety of Human Resources tasks. The Finance Director is an integral part of the school’s senior leadership team
focused on ensuring the most efficient and effective processes for tracking and managing the school’s finances. The Finance  Director  should enjoy working independently as well as in collaboration with colleagues, should appreciate the students
and atmosphere of the school, and should seek to engage in school life and activities.

Business Management:

• Develop and present to the Head of School and Board of Trustees financial review and future strategy.
• With the Head of School, develops, presents, and manages all operating and capital budgets.
• Monthly review and presentation to Head of School of department budget to actuals.
• Review Daily Cash flow and outward projections.
• Produce financial reports based on QuickBooks financials and internal tracking systems.
• Perform Monthly reconciliations for all checking/savings accounts, annual funding and endowment activity.
• Participate in financial surveys for NBOA, NAIS, and various other school affiliated associations.
• Review journal entries and adjust as needed.
• Review and approve all building/maintenance/IT contracts for the school in excess of $5,000.
• Review and approve with Head of School all purchases in excess of $10,000 (vehicles, furniture, etc.).
• Lead Yearly Financial Audit working closely with outside Auditing Firm.
• Participate in Yearly 403 Audit.
• Provide 990 reporting information to the Auditors and ensuring of timely 990 filing.
• Partner with Insurance Broker for yearly renewals (Property, Auto, Cyber, etc.).
• Partner with our local banks and oversee all accounts.
• Administer Petty Cash/Student Allowances and Student Accounts.
