FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR , Solve , to provide operational/finance and schedule management support to the executive director (ED) and associate director of finance; assist with overall administration, including accounting, finance, reporting, and budget management; and manage multiple competing priorities in collaboration with Solve and MIT colleagues. Responsibilities include gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data; evaluating and optimizing financial controls and procedures; advising staff regarding financial activities and supporting the coordination of streamlining processes; managing the accounts receivable process; overseeing various Solve accounts with the timely payment of invoices, initial set-up, PO change requests, collecting and filing vendor and contractor work and close-outs; keeping records of invoices and reviewing and processing reimbursements; performing fiscal budget preparation and advising on budget discrepancies; identifying financial liabilities and adhering to compliance guidelines; resolving account discrepancies and performing account reconciliations; preparing financial reports; authorizing expenditures; and assisting with improving financial controls. Will also manage office operations, including new employee onboarding, office supply requests, and other projects; handle scheduling and calendar management, email management, and travel coordination for the ED; prepare for and schedule internal meetings, including presentation decks and meeting set-up; and coordinate and track contacts in Salesforce.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or similar field; at least three years' financial administration or similar experience; advanced-level proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle); in-depth knowledge of financial controls and accounting standards; experience with financial reporting; meticulous attention to detail; excellent organizational, time-management, collaboration, and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and ability to work as part of a team, including willingness to take on additional responsibility to ensure team success.
